The book tells about Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second of the two-part adaptation of the Broadway musical. It was first announced that Wicked would be split into two films in April 2022, with composer Stephen Schwartz explaining, «To be honest, we’ve been asking for a while to make it one film, (which) required us to cut or cut out things that we wanted to include, we thought that fans of the series and history will appreciate it.» He added: “It was very difficult for us to finish Defying Gravity without a break. This song was written specifically to bring down the curtain, and every wall that follows without a break just feels extremely disappointing.» He is part of the cast of the animated series «Crazy Cartoon AniMat: Chip and Dale: The New Legacy» (2022).
